Karachi: The street criminal who martyred Major Saad Sheikh during the police encounter in Kemari was arrested while injured.

According to SSP Kemari Faizan Ali, the street criminal was arrested with serious injuries, raids are being conducted to arrest the other accomplice of the accused.

The case of blind murder was a challenge for Kemari district police, a team was formed under the supervision of SSP Captain (Rtd) Faizan Ali to arrest the brutal accused, who worked tirelessly for 9 days and CC of all the areas adjacent to the crime scene. After checking the TV footages, the accused were traced.

On the information of the presence of an accused involved in the incident in the site area today, the police party reached the spot and the accused started firing at the police party. One number of pistols with rounds were recovered from the possession of accused Usman alias Chatia.

During the investigation, the accused confessed to firing at Major Saad Sheikh, and on the day of the incident, his partner named Altaf was with him. At some distance, they stole the bike from the passerby and escaped.

According to the investigation, the pistol recovered from the possession of the accused was the one used in firing on Major Saad Sheikh. The weapon recovered from the accused is being sent to the laboratory for forensic tests.

It should be remembered that Saad Sheikh, who was posted as a company commander in Hub, was going to the highway to break his fast via Gulbai on March 31. On the way, armed suspects tried to snatch the motorcycle from Saad Sheikh. He died last Monday after being treated in a private hospital for five days.
