An ASI was killed in firing by unknown persons on the police.
According to the police, ASI known as Shah Ould Iqbal Shah Sakna Sheikh Mohammadi was killed in firing in the limits of Badh Bir police station in the suburbs of Peshawar. Later, the police officials met the family members of ASI and expressed their condolences and said that the elements involved in the incident will be traced and brought to justice.
According to initial reports, ASI Maruf Shah was on his way home after offering prayers at the local mosque when unknown persons shot and killed him. A search operation has been started by collecting empty shells of 30 bore pistols and other important evidence from the spot.
Meanwhile, Chief Minister Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Ali Amin Gandapur condemned the incident and expressed sympathy and condolences to the family of the martyr. He directed the police officials to take necessary steps for the immediate arrest of the elements involved in the firing.
