A young van driver was killed by robbers in Karachi

Karachi: Another young man who was held hostage by bandits in the city of Quaid lost his life during the resistance.

A young resident of Liaquatabad was killed by robbers in the area of ​​Gulzar Hijri Scheme 33. The deceased used to provide pick and drop service to beauty parlor girls.

According to the police, a firing incident took place in Sikandar Goth between Sunday and Monday at around 3:30 pm, in which one person was killed. The victim was identified as 33-year-old Shujaat Ali, son of Niaz Ali, who was a resident of House No. 105, Liaquatabad 9.

Muhammad Ali, the brother of the deceased while talking to the media said that Shujaat Ali was married 4 years ago and had no children while he was the youngest among 4 brothers and 2 sisters. His family job is driving a school van. The deceased Shujaat had a hi-jet vehicle which he used as school pick and drop in the morning hours while he also provided pick and drop facility to girls working in different beauty parlors of Gulshan Iqbal.

In view of the conditions in the city, the deceased had obtained an arms license a year ago and used to keep a pistol with him when he left the girls’ beauty parlor to drop them at their houses at night. He had a pistol with him at the time of the incident. The deceased was on his way to drop off a girl resident of Scheme 33 Sikandar Goth at her home when he saw suspicious persons on a motorcycle chasing him and tried to drive away, but the armed men suddenly stopped the car.

As soon as Shujaat came out of the car, the accused shot him on the chest and fled. The deceased’s brother and a relative said that the deceased had no enmity with anyone and never had any money dispute with anyone. He said that this incident is a robbery. The accused must have stopped the incident with the intention, but when Shujaat resisted, the robbers opened fire and fled and did not take anything with them, including the mobile phone.

The police say that the incident could also be due to resistance to robbery, but it cannot be said definitively. An investigation into the incident has been initiated keeping in view all the possible aspects.
