Karachi: 17 people, including a woman and a child, were killed while dozens were injured in the firing of bandits during Ramadan in the city.

Police measures to control street crime in the city proved futile. During the 1st to 24th of Ramadan, 17 innocent citizens lost their eternal sleep at the hands of robbers, while dozens were injured.

27-year-old Muhammad Jameel, a milk seller who was injured by bandits in the Syed Village area of ​​Millerkant on 4th of Ramadan, died during treatment.

On the 5th of Ramadan, 32-year-old Farhan was killed by robbers near Isa Nagri Bakra Pedi. The deceased Farhan was a milk trader. 28-year-old Mohammad Farhan, who was injured in the firing by bandits near Orangi Town Sector 15C Bangla Bazar, died during treatment on 5th of Ramadan.

On the 10th of Ramadan, 35-year-old Akhtar was killed and 22-year-old Abid was injured by robbers in Orangi Town Christian neighborhood. On the 10th of Ramadan, engineer Shoaib Shafqat lost his life due to the firing of armed robbers when he resisted a robbery near Asr Tower on Malir-Jannah Avenue.

On 11th of Ramadan, robbers took away the right to live from 6-year-old Asrar Abbas in Sohrab Goth, Junejo Goth.

On 13th of Ramadan, 22-year-old shopkeeper Abdul Rehman was killed by robbers at a foam shop near North Karachi Sector 5 El Saima Apartment.

On the 15th of Ramadan, 50-year-old Nazia Anjum, wife of Abdul Abad, was the target of robbers during a police encounter in front of Qatar Hospital in Aurangi Town.

On the 18th of Ramadan, 38-year-old Syed Rahbar Ali died due to resistance against the bridge in front of Rashid Minhas Road Millennium Shopping Mall.

On the 19th of Ramadan, Kanji, a passer-by father of four children, was killed during an encounter between police and bandits near Sohrab Goth Ayub Goth river.

On 21st of Ramadan, 40-year-old real estate agent Muhammad Amjad was killed and 35-year-old Amanullah was injured when bandits opened fire on a car near Gulshan Mimar Ajmer Garden.

On 23rd of Ramadan, 32-year-old Amir and 60-year-old Syed Hamid Ali, a Jamaat-e-Islami worker, were killed when they resisted the robbery near New Karachi Sector 5A Alam Pride.

On 24th of Ramadan Mubarak, 30-year-old Asif, a supplier of utensils, was shot dead by bandits in Orangi Town area. On the 24th of Ramadan, 2 laborers Sain Dad and Shabbir were killed in a shootout between the police and robbers in front of Manghopir New Nazimabad Lal Gate.

After the increasing number of incidents in the city, the police started putting the blame on the prosecution to hide their performance. The task of the IG Sindh was entrusted to the specialized investigation of the accused involved in the incidents of killing citizens on robbery resistance, but the SI police could not arrest the accused involved in any of the incidents despite the passage of many days.
