Cholistan Reserve;  A fine of 2 lakh 70 thousand rupees for hunting Chinkara deer

Lahore: Punjab Wildlife personnel arrested two accused who were hunting Chinkara deer near Chachdan Toba area of ​​Cholistan Reserve.

According to details, the accused were trying to escape after hunting Chinkara deer, but the wildlife staff chased them and arrested them.

A hunted deer and a short gun have been recovered from the possession of the accused. Besides, a challan was filed against the accused under Sections 9, 18 and 26 of the Punjab Wildlife Act 1974, amended 2007.

On the request of the accused to compound the case, they were fined 2 lakh 70 thousand rupees and released while the hunted deer was also taken into custody.
