Peshawar: The candidates supported by Tehreek-e-Insaf challenged the election results of 2 constituencies.
PTI-supported candidates Mehmood Jan and Kamran Bangash from the Provincial Assembly Constituencies PK 72 and PK 82 have challenged the election results in the Election Tribunal.
Election Commission, District Returning Officer, ROs and successful candidates have been made parties in the petitions. It is contended in the petition that the candidate was successful in Form 45 whereas the opposite candidate was declared successful in Form 47. DROs and ROs made changes in Form 45 and changed the results.
The petition states that there is a difference in the signatures of the presiding officers in Form 45 and Form 46. These results have been changed with the connivance of the ROs and the successful candidates from these constituencies.
The Tribunal has been requested to call the Polling Agents, Presiding Officers as official witnesses for verification of Forms 45 and 46. A number of Form 45s have been produced in the handwriting of one person, which makes these results doubtful. Candidates have also filed petitions against the election results in the Election Commission, they have not been properly heard and the petitions have been dismissed. Applicants have won as per Form 45 results. The Election Tribunal shall order the compilation of results of the constituencies as per Form 45 results.
