Palestinian Ambassador meeting with the Prime Minister, expressing gratitude to the Pakistani people for their support

Islamabad: The Palestinian ambassador has met the prime minister, in which he has expressed his gratitude to the Pakistani nation for supporting the Palestinians.

In the meeting, Prime Minister Mian Shahbaz Sharif assured full support for the freedom of Palestine. Foreign Minister Senator Mohammad Ishaq Dar, Special Assistant Tariq Fatemi and Foreign Secretary were also present on this occasion.

The Prime Minister thanked the President of Palestine Dr. Mahmood Abbas for the congratulatory message. He strongly condemned the ongoing Israeli aggression in Gaza. The Prime Minister said that Pakistan has a historical and close relationship with the brotherly state of Palestine. Pakistan has continuously supported the Palestine issue at the United Nations, OIC and other international forums.

Shahbaz Sharif reiterated the demand for an immediate end to the genocidal war being launched against the Palestinian people. He expressed deep sorrow over the martyrdom of more than 32,000 Palestinians in the brutal operations of the Israeli forces.

The Prime Minister also discussed the interim decision of the International Court of Justice in the case filed by South Africa. It should be noted that Pakistan also supported Palestine in the ICJ.

The meeting welcomed the adoption of UN Security Council Resolution 2728. The Prime Minister assured the Palestinian ambassador of full cooperation and solidarity and said that Pakistan will continue to raise its voice at every international forum to express solidarity with the Palestinian people. Pakistan has so far sent 7 installments of relief goods to the people of Gaza. The prime minister said that there is also a plan to send a tranche of aid immediately after Eid.

The Palestinian Ambassador thanked the Prime Minister and the people of Pakistan for their full support.
