Karachi: Government of Sindh has decided to end physical fitness checking on transfer of used vehicles and launch software for online transfer of vehicles.
This decision was taken in a meeting chaired by Sindh Senior Minister Sharjeel Inam Memon in Karachi.
In the meeting, it was also considered to end the office paperwork on the transfer of vehicles, while the businessmen gave detailed information to Senior Minister Sharjeel Inam Memon about the problems encountered in vehicle registration, physical fitness and other issues.
The meeting also held a detailed discussion on current and backlog issues of private and commercial vehicles, new registration of vehicles and introduction of modern procedures to bring the transfer system online.
On this occasion, Senior Minister Sharjeel Inam Memon assured an immediate solution to the problems of the traders. He said that the office paper work on the transfer of vehicles will continue for now, but it will be done soon, taking all the stakeholders into confidence and solving the problems of traders on priority basis.
Sharjeel Inam Memon said that the traders, especially the traders and importers of Karachi have an important position in the country’s economy, the Sindh government has always solved the problems of the traders on a priority basis.
He said that other problems of traders, including the problems encountered in registration of vehicles, will be solved on a priority basis, because of Red Line BRT, traders will not face any problem, they have already issued instructions in this regard.
Sajjad Bhatti, Araaf Pracha, Mohammad Akbar, Abdul Rahim, Amjad Aqil and Ijaz Ahmed were among the delegation of Automotive Traders and Importers Association participating in the meeting.
