Peshawar: In Peshawar, a huge quantity of unhealthy meat and related items were recovered from a passenger bus.
According to Media Cell Deputy Commissioner Office Peshawar, 4 people including the driver have been arrested after recovering a huge quantity of unhealthy meat and other items from a bus coming from Punjab on GT Road.
More than 2,000 kg of unhealthy meat, kidney, liver, stomach, buffalo head and other items were recovered from the bus. According to District Administration Peshawar, an operation was conducted under the supervision of Assistant Commissioner Hasan Khel on a tip-off, in which the exported goods were supplied to the makers of Pai, Sri Pai, Shawarma and Burgers.
In its report, the laboratory of the Livestock Department declared the meat and other goods exported from the bus to be harmful to health.
Besides, a container full of adulterated milk was seized at a motorway interchange, the unsanitary milk was disposed of on the spot and the driver of the supply was arrested.
