Karachi: It has been revealed that the smuggled arms in Sindh are licensed with the help of dealers and the Home Department.
Sources in the Home Department say that the FIA has sought an explanation from the Home Department regarding the legalization of smuggled weapons, while the officials of the department will work with Lait Walal to provide an explanation.
FIA raided the house of Customs Inspector Momin Shah in Hyderabad, 67 licensed weapons were found in the raid, verification revealed that 23 weapons were smuggled.
According to the sources of the interior department, the dealers gave the arms by affixing the stamp of their shop and the Sindh interior department issued the license on the stamp of the arms dealer.
The FIA officials have started considering to request the court on the matter, the court will be requested to seek a response from the Sindh Interior Department.
