5 candidates of Jamaat-e-Islami filed electoral excuses in the Election Tribunal

Notification of successful candidates should be suspended and results should be declared null and void, Petition

Karachi: 5 candidates of Jamaat-e-Islami filed electoral excuses in the Sindh High Court Election Tribunal.

Junaid Makati of PS 105, Mohammad Akbar of PS 123, Mohammad Ahmed of PS 124, Nusratullah of PS 126 and Wajiya Al Hasan of PS 128 were among those who filed electoral excuses through Usman Farooq Advocate.

In the petitions, the stand has been taken that on the evening of February 8 we were winning but on February 9 we were defeated. These candidates were successful as per Form 45.

Usman Farooq Advocate has taken the position in the application that the notification of the same winner was issued without removing the discrepancy between Form 45 and Form 47. It is requested from the Election Tribunal that the notification of the successful candidates be suspended and the results declared null and void.
