Islamabad: On PTI’s request for permission to hold a rally in the federal capital, the Islamabad High Court issued notices to the parties and sought their response yesterday.
Islamabad High Court Chief Justice Amir Farooq heard the case, Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf lawyer Sher Afzal appeared in the court.
Lawyer Sher Afzal Marwat said that the IG Islamabad has given security threats as reasons, on which Chief Justice Amir Farooq remarked that whatever options there are will be looked into tomorrow.
Earlier, the High Court had directed the DC to take a decision on PTI’s request, however, the DC Islamabad rejected the request citing security reasons and lack of police presence.
The court adjourned the hearing of the case till tomorrow.
