A 5-day special anti-polio campaign will begin tomorrow in 11 districts of Balochistan.
According to Emergency Operation Center Balochistan, this special anti-polio campaign will be started in the districts of Balochistan including Chaman, Dera Bugti, Hub, Lasbela, Naseerabad, Sibi, Jafarabad, Kech, Khuzdar, Awsta Muhammad and Sahabpur. .
Coordinator Syed Zahid Shah has said that during the campaign, more than 889,000 children will be vaccinated against polio and more than 3,000 teams will participate in the polio campaign.
He said that two and a half years later, during 2023, the re-presence of polio virus was confirmed in the environment of different districts of the province.
Coordinator Syed Zahid Shah has said that all resources are being used to ensure the complete eradication of polio virus, the polio campaign is very important to prevent the spread of the virus and protect children from it.
He said that security will be provided to all the teams participating in the polio campaign.
Coordinator Syed Zahid Shah said that we are determined that we will not sit down from China until polio is eradicated from the province.
The Emergency Operation Center Balochistan has requested all parents to complete the course of immunization for their children along with the polio vaccine to protect them from measles, pneumonia and other dangerous diseases including polio.
It should be remembered that after 3 years in Balochistan, 2 polio cases were reported from Chaman and Dera Bugti.
