Govt and semi-govt institutions defaulted on electricity bills worth crores of rupees

Islamabad: Government and semi-government institutions have defaulted on electricity dues of crores of rupees, on which ISCO has issued notices for payment.

The Chief Executive Officer of Islamabad Electric Supply Company, Dr. Muhammad Amjad Khan, has said that the electricity of the defaulters who do not pay their electricity dues will be disconnected without prior notice or notice. In this regard, it has been stated in the notice that the institutions should immediately pay their due electricity bills. Government and semi-government defaulters who do not pay electricity dues will be cut off.

According to ISCO spokesperson, Azad Jammu and Kashmir is in default of 105335 million, Defence/MES is in default of 3211 million. CDA has 2880 million, Pak Secretariat (CDA) has 689 million dues while Cabinet Secretariat (CDA) has 79 million, Kent Board Chaklala 896 million and WASA 449 million.

Defense Production Division 263 million, Pakistan PWD 200 million, Federal Government Hospitals 198 million, Kent Board Rawalpindi 168 million, Ministry of Railways 147 million, Federal Police 146 million, TMA Rawal Town 125 million, Parliament Lodges 112 million, PM Secretariat (PWD) 84 million, The Ministry of Interior is in default of 83 million.

Apart from them, Chief Commissioner Islamabad is in default of 70 million, Ministry of Health 58 million, Ministry of Culture and Sports 54 million, while TMA Murree has defaulted 52 million, Senate (CDA) 50 million, Punjab Prison and Convict 49 million, Ministry of Education 47 million, AGE Maintenance (D P) 42 million, Holy Family Hospital Rawalpindi 39 million and FWO 37 million unpaid bills.

According to the spokesperson, NHA 33 million, Punjab Health and Welfare Department 32 million, POF Wah Taxila 30 million, Pakistan Broadcasting Corporation 29 million, District and Tehsil Headquarters Hospital Rawalpindi 25 million, FIA 23 million, Punjab Metro Bus 18 million, Health District Government Jhelum 18 million, Ministry of Local Government 17 million. are insolvent.

Ministry of Environment and URB 16 million, Ministry of Hajj and Awqaf 16 million, FBR/CBR 14 million, Ministry of Planning and Development 12 million and DG Special Education 11 million are defaulters of ISCO.
