Judicial Complex vandalism case;  Interim bail of Chief Minister KP approved

Islamabad: In the judicial complex vandalism case, the Anti-Terrorism Court of Islamabad approved the interim bail of Chief Minister Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Ali Amin Gandapur.

Chief Minister KP’s lawyer Raja Zahoorul Hasan told the court that Ali Amin Gandapur is named in the FIR, but his role is irrelevant as he was not present at the time.

According to lawyer Raja Zahoor-ul-Hasan, 50 FIRs have been registered against Ali Amin Gandapur, Ali Amin Gandapur is not even allowed to reach the court.

The court granted interim bail till April 17, while ordering the deposit of Rs 50,000.

Earlier, the petitioner approached the court and took the stand that Ali Amin Gandapur is being dragged into a false FIR, the story narrated in the FIR is fabricated and baseless. Petitioner is a law abiding citizen and has no criminal record.

According to the petitioner, the petitioner is also willing to be included in the investigation of the case, the purpose of the FIR is to affect the reputation of the petitioner, therefore the pre-arrest bail application of Ali Amin Gandapur should be granted.

Arrest warrant cancelled

Similarly, the arrest warrants of Chief Minister KP Ali Amin Gandapur were canceled in the cases registered in Bani Gala and Golra police stations.

Lawyer Raja Zahoor-e-Hassan said that due to election engagements, he could not appear in court and the arrest warrant should be cancelled. Ali Amin Gandapur should be exempted from attendance for the next hearing, upon which Judge Qudratullah said that he should apply for exemption from attendance and see to it.

Senior Civil Judge Qudratullah canceled the arrest warrant of Ali Amin Gandapur and adjourned the hearing of the case till April 17.

Ali Amin Gandapur’s lawyer requested to cancel the arrest warrant in the case registered in Golra police station. Lawyer Raja Zahoorul Hasan said that Ali Amin could not appear in the court due to Gandapur election engagements.

Additional Sessions Judge Abdul Ghafoor Kakar canceled the arrest warrant of Ali Amin Gandapur and adjourned the trial till April 17.
