'In earlier times, naughty boys used to cut chickens and eat them' interesting remarks of Sindh High Court.

Karachi: The Chief Justice of Sindh High Court has made interesting remarks in the case of knocking on the door of the court after getting tired of the noise of the roosters, that in earlier times naughty boys used to cut and eat the chickens.

A two-member bench headed by Chief Justice Sindh High Court Justice Aqeel Ahmad Abbasi heard a woman’s plea against keeping chickens and chickens at home. The Chief Justice remarked whether a complaint was made to the concerned institutions in this regard.

The petitioner stated that the Cantonment Board is not doing anything in this regard while there is no such permission in their own rules. Due to keeping the chickens in the house, there is noise in the whole area.

Chief Justice Aqeel Ahmad Abbasi remarked that chickens are very mischievous and make a lot of noise.

The petitioner’s counsel submitted that there is a public nuisance law in the law which is being violated.

Chief Justice Aqeel Ahmad Abbasi said in his remarks that what should be done then, should those who keep chickens at home be slaughtered? In earlier times, mischievous boys used to kill chickens and eat them.

The court adjourned the hearing till April 23 while seeking the response from the concerned institutions on the next hearing.
