Karachi: Sindh’s senior and anti-narcotics minister, Sharjeel Inam Memon, has said that there will be a crackdown on drug dealers across the province soon, for which teams comprising of good officers will be formed.
According to the details, a high-level meeting was held under the chairmanship of Senior Minister of Sindh and Provincial Minister for Excise, Taxation and Narcotics Control, Transport and Mass Transit Sharjeel Inam Memon.
Talking to the participants, Sharjeel Inam Memon said that teams consisting of good officers will be formed for crackdown, now there will be an effective crackdown against drugs.
He said that we have to get the young generation out of the clutches of drug dealers, the officers who perform well in the crackdown will be awarded prizes and awards.
Sharjeel Inam Memon said that actions will be taken on a daily basis as we have to ensure eradication of drugs from the root, along with crackdown on drug peddlers will also work for the awareness of the young generation.
Secretary Excise Atifur Rehman, DG Excise Aurangzeb Panhour, DG Excise Admin Riaz Khoso and others participated in the meeting.
