Peshawar: Chief Minister Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Ali Amin Gandapur has decided to change the current policy after taking notice of inhumane killing of stray dogs in the province.

In a statement released by the Chief Minister’s Press Secretary, it was said that Chief Minister Ali Amin Gandapur took notice of the inhumane killing of stray dogs in the province and decided to change the current policy of killing stray dogs.

The statement said that the Chief Minister has directed the Department of Local Government and the Department of Livestock to formulate an alternative policy in this regard and for this a letter has been sent from the Chief Minister’s Secretariat to the said departments.

It is mentioned in the post that the existing policy of killing stray dogs in the province is inhumane, the current policy related to the management and control of stray dogs has proved to be ineffective, so an effective alternative policy should be made in collaboration with the Department of Local Government and Livestock and other relevant departments. prepare

Chief Minister Khyber Pakhtunkhwa said that instead of killing stray dogs, the new policy should be made on the principles of TNVR (Trap, Neuter, Vaccinate and Return) and the implementation of this new policy should be started immediately.

The above departments have been instructed to send a report on the implementation of the new policy to the Chief Minister’s Secretariat on a daily basis.
