SHO Zaman Town Rao Fayyaz said that according to the residents of the area, the alleged dacoit was robbing an elderly citizen in the limits of Korangi police station and the citizens followed the dacoit. He said that a citizen in the angry crowd also opened fire on the alleged dacoit, killing him on the spot. Robbery has been looted.
He said that the citizen who opened fire on the alleged dacoit could not be identified, an attempt was made to identify the dead alleged dacoit through biometrics, but the fingerprints of the dacoit were cut off due to which the identification was not possible, police said. It is suspected that the deceased was addicted to the alleged dacoity.
