Lahore: Rizwana, a maid victim of domestic violence, underwent a successful operation on her arm at Lahore General Hospital, the affected girl started eating normally with the injured arm.
Rizwana’s sister Sonia, a resident of Sargodha, says that when she brought her sister from Sargodha to Lahore General Hospital, her condition was very critical and there were signs of injuries on the body. A special medical board was formed for treatment, in which senior doctors from various fields were included.
Meanwhile, the delegation of Child Protection and Welfare Bureau has also met Rizwana. Under the direction of Sara Ahmed, Member of Punjab Assembly and Chairperson of Child Protection Bureau, the team of the Bureau was present at the hospital for the care and visitation of Rizwana.
Rizwana was tortured while working at the house of a civil judge in Islamabad in July last year. Rizwana was shifted to Lahore in critical condition, where she was shifted to Child Protection Bureau Lahore after treatment.
Rizwana is still in the custody of the Child Protection Bureau. She was walking but her arm was not working. She was readmitted to the hospital last month where doctors decided to operate after examining her injuries.
After her recovery, Rizwana will be transferred back to the Child Protection Bureau where she can begin her education and skills training.
