Islamabad / Karachi: Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif took notice of the concerns of the Sindh government regarding the appointment of Chairman Ursa.
According to Sindh Irrigation Minister Jam Khan Shoro, Pakistan Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif and Sindh Chief Minister Murad Ali Shah have been in contact.
Jam Khan Shuro said that the Prime Minister has said that the notification of appointment of Zafar Mehmood as the Chairman of Ursa will be withdrawn.
The Irrigation Minister said that the Chief Minister of Sindh has adopted the position that it has been decided in the CCI that the appointment of the Chairman will be made from the members of the provinces on the basis of rotation. The Prime Minister has accepted the position of the Chief Minister of Sindh and the Sindh Irrigation Department
On the other hand, in a conversation with the media, Sindh Chief Minister Syed Murad Ali Shah said that the purpose of Ursa was that there should be no influence of the federal government. A representative shall be a member of Ursa. The PML-G government had made a water agreement.
In response to a question, the Chief Minister said that I am looking into the matter of the Chairman of the Inter Board. There is no Minister yet, so I am looking into this department. This issue will be resolved soon.
