Karachi: Pakistan People’s Party leader Sharjeel Inam Memon has joined the Sindh Cabinet as a senior minister while he has also been given the portfolios of Transport and Excise and Taxation.
According to the details, a notification has been issued to assign portfolios of Sharjeel Inam Memon as a senior minister and portfolio of two departments.
People’s Party leader Sharjeel Inam Memon has also served as the Minister of Works and Service, Transport and Mass Transit and Information in the previous regime of the People’s Party. During the previous regime, Sharjeel Inam Memon’s biggest achievement was to start the People’s Bus Service and the Pink Bus Service for women.
Apart from this, elimination of illegal bus stands in other cities of Sindh including Orange Line, Yellow Line BRT, Red Line BRT, Green Line, Karachi and Hyderabad, appointment of women drivers in pink bus service. are part of the projects.
The reconstruction of bridges on these BRT routes has also been possible due to the efforts of Sharjeel Inam Memon. Apart from this, more electric buses for other cities of Sindh including Karachi and electric taxis for the citizens of Karachi and women’s pink electric taxi service are also part of the vision of Sharjeel Inam Memon.
Sharjeel Inam Memon, the first thing in history as the Information Minister, established the Commission for Protection of Journalists and Media Practitioners at the government level in Sindh for the protection of journalists and other people related to the media.
