Karachi: A three-year-old child who was burnt by his father in North Karachi also succumbed to his injuries while being treated.
According to the details, a father set himself on fire along with his three children on the night of March 5th and 6th in the incident ground in North Karachi Sector 5C4 in Khawaja Ajmer Nagri area. He succumbed to his injuries while being treated in the Burns Ward, while the three injured children, 3-year-old Ghulam Hussain, 4-year-old Iman Fatima and 5-year-old Houria, were being treated at the National Institute of Child Health (Jinah Hospital).
Five-year-old Houria, who was injured, died of her injuries on Monday morning, while Iman Fatima also died during treatment, while Ghulam Hussain, who was undergoing treatment at NICH, also died on Monday and Tuesday. He died of his injuries in the middle of the night.
It should be noted that the mother of the deceased children died some time ago, later Arif remarried a married woman Amina, Amina was the mother of young children.

Amina’s mother-in-law had told that Arif was unemployed but he was keen on getting married, he has a wife living near New Karachi Pella School and he has also got married in Punjab. He said that Arif was being taken care of by Amina’s children and he stayed at home all day. Amina’s boys used to pay Rs 10,000 for the portion of the house in which he kept his three children. While he used to eat and drink with Amina.
Amina’s mother had told Rooz Express about the incident that she had told Arif that if he stays at home all day and does labor and at least does the housework, then he himself gave her dinner. After the meal, he took his three children and left the house saying that I am going to the ground.
He said that Arif sat in the middle of the ground with the three children and then he lit a match and set the three children on fire first and then set himself on fire. However, by that time, Arif and his three children were badly burned.
Amina’s mother, when asked by Express, said that when Arif left the house, he did not have any petrol or kerosene bottle in his hand, because the way Arif and the children were burnt, it seemed that petrol or kerosene had been poured on them. Hospital sources also confirmed that kerosene was sprayed.
Among the above mentioned children of Arif, there was another brother who was left by Arif with his elder brother due to which he survived.
