There is a need to strengthen the relationship between the government and the media, Federal Minister Atta Tarar
Islamabad: Federal Minister Attaullah Tarar took charge of his position in the Ministry of Information and Broadcasting.
Federal Secretary Information and Broadcasting Shaheera Shahid and other senior officers of the Ministry welcomed the Federal Minister on his arrival at his office in the Ministry of Information. Speaking on this occasion, he said that the doors of the Ministry of Information will remain open for the journalist community. There is a need to promote positive and constructive journalism in the country and strengthen the relationship between the government and the media.
Attaullah Tarar said that he will work together with the media to convey the government’s initiatives and policies to the people. Media plays the role of bridge between people and government, this role needs to be played better.
It should be noted that Attaullah Tarar is the leader of Pakistan Muslim League (N) and has been elected member of National Assembly from constituency NA-127 Lahore. He has assumed his responsibilities in the Ministry of Information from today after taking oath as Federal Minister in the President’s House.
