Islamabad: The Chief Election Commissioner sent the final and official result of the presidential election to the federal government in the form of Form 7. The federal government will issue the notification of the President on the basis of Form 7, after which Asif Zardari will take the oath of the new president.
The final and official result of the presidential election is issued in the form of Form 7, Chief Election Commissioner Sikandar Sultan Raja as the returning officer has sent this official result Form 7 to the Secretary Cabinet Division.
According to Form 7, Asif Ali Zardari was elected president by getting 411 votes in the presidential election 2024, while his rival candidate Mehmood Khan Achakzai got 181 votes.
Asif Ali Zardari got 255 votes from Parliament, 43 from Punjab, 58 from Sindh, 8 from Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and 47 from Balochistan. Mehmood Khan Achakzai got 119 votes from Parliament, 18 from Punjab Assembly, three from Sindh and 41 from Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.
According to the details given in Form 7, a total of 375 votes were polled in the Parliament House out of which one vote was rejected and a total of 352 votes were cast in the Punjab Assembly out of which 6 votes were rejected.
One vote each in the Sindh and Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Assemblies was also rejected. 47 votes were cast in Balochistan Assembly and not a single vote was rejected from here.
