Islamabad: The polling process for the presidential election has started in Parliament House.
The polling for the election of the 14th President of the country is being conducted today in the National and Provincial Assemblies. In this regard, the management of the National Assembly Hall was handed over to the Election Commission, while the doors of the National Assembly Hall were opened to the Election Commission this morning. were shut down.
Procedures related to the presidential election and instructions for the guidance of the members were displayed while adequate arrangements for the security of the parliament around the National Assembly Hall were also completed. After the National Assembly Hall was allocated for the polling process for the presidential election, 2 polling booths were set up.
The presiding officer of the presidential election is Chief Justice Islamabad High Court Amir Farooq who started the election process at 10 am. He said that the use of mobile phones is prohibited, no member will use mobile phones. In the presidential election, Senator Sherry Rehman Asif Ali Zardari’s polling agent, while Senator Shafiq Tareen, Mehmood Khan Achakzai’s polling agent has been appointed.
Polling agents for the presidential election have been shown empty ballot boxes and sealed.
Before the polling, presidential candidates Asif Zardari and Mahmood Khan Achakzai had reached the Parliament House, while the arrival of other members is also continuing.
Tehreek-e-Insaf Senator Aun Abbas cast his vote, on this occasion he raised slogans in favor of PTI founder chairman Imran Khan. Later, when the name of Senator Ejaz Chaudhry was called for vote, the members of the Sunni Alliance Council raised slogans of Shame Shame. Members of PTI and Sunni Ittehad Council raised slogans for the release of Ijaz Chaudhry.
Later, Prime Minister Shahbaz Sharif and presidential candidate Asif Ali Zardari also cast their votes. After that, Ishaq Dar and Bilawal Bhutto Zardari also exercised their right to vote.
It should be noted that the process of counting of votes will be completed after the polling in the Parliament House and the four provincial assemblies. All five Presiding Officers will issue Form 5 after the counting of votes. Form 5 and votes will be sealed and sent to the Chief Election Commissioner. The Chief Election Commissioner is the Returning Officer of the Presidential Election. Form 7 will be issued after consolidation with presidential candidates. Form 7 issued by the Chief Election Commissioner shall be the final and official result.
Attendance at Prime Minister Zardari’s breakfast
Before the polling process for the presidential election started, Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif attended the breakfast of the PPP and on this occasion he met the presidential candidate Asif Ali Zardari. Chairman People’s Party Bilawal Bhutto Zardari was also present on this occasion. Asif Zardari and Bilawal Bhutto Zardari thanked Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif for his support for the presidential election.

1102 members of national and provincial assemblies will exercise voting rights
1102 members of the National and Provincial Assembly will exercise their right to vote in the presidential election. Each vote of the members of the National Assembly and the Senate will be counted. 309 members of the National Assembly, 92 members of the Senate will exercise voting rights.
64 members of Balochistan Assembly are eligible to vote while one vote of Balochistan Assembly members will count as one. The number of votes of other assemblies will be equal to the votes of Balochistan Assembly.
164 members of the Sindh Assembly will exercise their right to vote. 2.28 members of the Sindh Assembly will count for one vote.
357 members of Punjab Assembly will exercise their right to vote. 5.49 members of Punjab Assembly together constitute one vote.
115 members of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Assembly will exercise their right to vote.
Polling in Pakhtunkhwa Assembly
The voting process for the presidential election in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Assembly started at 10 am. The House of Provincial Assembly consists of 145 seats, while 2 seats are vacant due to postponement of elections. The elected members on 21 women and 4 minority reserved seats are yet to take oath.
118 members of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Assembly will be able to exercise their vote. The number of members supported by Sunni Ittehad Council is 91, JUIF 9, Muslim League-N 9, PPP 5. He is a member of PTI Parliamentarian 2 and ANP. 4 independent members are also part of the assembly.
The rate of a presidential vote in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa is 2.24. Mahmood Khan Achakzai from Khyber Pakhtunkhwa is likely to get 41 electoral votes while Asaf Ali Zardari is expected to get 8 votes. JUI has announced a boycott of the presidential elections.
In the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Assembly, the polling agent of Sunni Ittehad Council candidate Mehmood Khan Achakzai, Fakhar Jahan, has been appointed as the polling agent of Asif Ali Zardari, Ahmad Karim Kundi.
