Karachi: Bandits killed another citizen while resisting while looting near Korangi Weta Chowrangi National Refinery.
In District Korangi, the poor performance of the police is causing the citizens to bear the brunt of the loss of life and injuries due to the firing of bandits.
Yesterday, two persons were critically injured by motorcycle-riding bandits during a robbery, indiscriminately firing on resistance near the National Refinery area of Korangi Industrial Area and escaped after looting.
Korangi Industrial Area Police Station Head Moharrar Daniyal said that both the injured were taken to Indus Hospital in a rickshaw for immediate medical assistance, where 36-year-old Muhammad Fayyaz died while 47-year-old Fawad Bakhsh was given medical assistance. was shifted to Jinnah Hospital for treatment while the victim was shot in the stomach which proved to be fatal.
He said that initially it was found that the deceased and the injured were employed in a local factory and were going home after finishing work when the incident took place.
The deceased citizen was buried in the local cemetery. The deceased was the third among seven siblings and was the father of 4 children while a daughter was born to the deceased 11 days ago.
Similarly, North Nazimabad, Sirsyed Town, Soldier Bazar, Sharifabad, Sumanabad and Rizvia police arrested 10 robbers including 7 injured after alleged encounters. Two accomplices of the dacoits arrested by Sir Syed police managed to escape.
Weapons, stolen mobile phones, cash and stolen motorcycles were recovered from the arrested accused.
