Islamabad: District and Sessions Judge Islamabad annulled the trial court’s order declaring Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Chief Minister Ali Amin Gandapur as an advertisement.
District and Sessions Judge Shahrukh Arjumand heard the appeal of Ali Amin Gandapur. Petitioner lawyer Raja Zahoorul Hasan and prosecutor Mohammad Salman Khan appeared in the court.
Ali Amin Amin Gandapur’s application for exemption from attendance was filed which was accepted by the court. The lawyer pleaded that Ali Amin Gandapur could not appear in the court due to the official schedule, so exemption should be granted.
After hearing the arguments of the lawyers, the court annulled the order declaring Ali Amin Gandapur as an advertisement.
In the order, the court said that the process server did not comply with the notices and the accused could not be received, therefore the proceedings under section 87 and 88 against the accused are terminated, the petitioner should give a bond of Rs 50 thousand and a local surety.
The court sent the case back to the trial court and adjourned the hearing till March 14.
It should be noted that a case of arms and liquor recovery has been registered against Ali Amin Gandapur in Bahara Kahu police station.
