Karachi: The Sindh government has given approval to give 5 thousand rupees in cash to those with an income of less than 34 thousand rupees in the month of Ramadan.
A meeting was held under the chairmanship of Chief Minister Sindh Syed Murad Ali Shah on controlling prices in Ramadan, in which Mayor Karachi, Chief Secretary, Principal Secretary, IG Police, Secretary Finance, Additional IG Police, Commissioner Karachi and other relevant officers. 22.5 billion rupees Ramadan package announced
The Chief Minister of Sindh has approved to give 5000 rupees in cash to 60% of the population of Sindh during Ramadan. Sindh Chief Minister has decided to give relief in Ramadan to 45 lakh families with minimum wages. (The objective of minimum wage is those whose monthly income is 34000 rupees). According to the details, families earning Rs 32,000 per month constitute 60 percent of the population of the province, each family will be given Rs 5,000 through the bank in the month of Ramadan. If 5000 rupees will be given to 35 lakh families, the amount will be more than 22.5 billion rupees.
Crackdown against hoarders and profiteers started today
Sindh Chief Minister Syed Murad Ali Shah directed the Commissioner Karachi to start a crackdown against hoarders and profiteers in Karachi from today. He said that the commissioners in the remaining divisions of the province should also initiate crackdown against profiteers and hoarders in the respective districts.
He said that we have notified the price of food and drink. The management should ensure the notified prices of the goods in the market. The Chief Minister also directed to set up a complaint cell in the Chief Minister House to resolve price control and other issues during the month of Ramadan.
He said that Sindh Zakat Department will pay 14000 rupees to 110000 poor families. There should be no loadshedding during Suhr and Iftar across the province. In Ramadan, K Electric, HESCO and SEPCO should maintain the electricity system in their respective areas.
