Artificially sweetened beverages can cause irregular heartbeat

Washington: A recent study found that people who drink artificially sweetened beverages have an increased risk of irregular heartbeats.

According to media reports, a study published by researchers in the AHA journal Circulation: Arrhythmias and Electrophysiology found that people who drank artificially sweetened beverages had more heartburn than others. The risk of irregular heartbeats increases.

A UK Biobank (health database) study of 500,000 people found that those who consumed at least 1.8 liters of artificial sweeteners a week had a 20% higher risk of irregular heartbeats. Drink the drinks.

The American Heart Association also pointed out in its news release about the study that among those who drank plain sugary drinks, the risk was cut in half, or 10 percent, compared to pure fruit juices without added sugar. This risk increases to 8%.
