Lahore: Punjab Cabinet members will take oath of office today while the Home Department will remain with Maryam Nawaz.
The 16-member provincial cabinet will take oath at the Governor’s House today at 4 pm on Wednesday. According to reports, Maryam Aurangzeb will be Minister of Planning, Special Initiatives CM Secretariat, Environment, Forests and Wildlife. Uzma Bukhari will be the Minister of Information while Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz will keep the portfolio of the Home Department.
Apart from this, Ashiq Hussain Kirmani will be the Minister for Agriculture, Kazem Pirzada for Irrigation, Imran Nazir for Primary Health and Khawaja Salman for Specialized Health. Tahir Khalil Sindhu will be the Human Rights Minister while Ramesh Arora will be the Minority Affairs Minister.
Education Minister Rana Sikandar Hayat, Local Government Zheeshan Rafiq, Communications and Construction Minister Sohaib Bharat. Mines and Minerals Minister Sher Ali Gorchani, Food Minister Bilal Yasin, Faisal Khokhar Sports and Bilal Akbar will be Ministers of Transport.
4 more ministers in the provincial cabinet will take oath in the next 4 years. Apart from this, SAPM and Advisor will also be included. Parvez Rasheed will be the advisor for political and cultural affairs while Rana Sanaullah will decide today whether to contest the by-elections of either the National Assembly or the Provincial Assembly.
