Peshawar: The Election Commission has released the announcement of 8 reserved seats for women from Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.
According to the announcement of the Election Commission, the seats were distributed to other parties as the Sunni Ittehad Council did not get specific seats. Muslim League-N has been given 4 seats, JUI and Pelez Party 2 and 2 respectively.

Thawbia Shahid, Ghazala Anjum, Shehla Bano and Shaheen have been nominated as MPs of Nawaz League on specific seats. Naima Kishore and Sadaf Ehsan of JUI, Asma Alamgir and Naima Kanwal have become members of the PPP.
It should be noted that yesterday the Election Commission had rejected the request of the Sunni Ittehad Council for obtaining specific seats while pronouncing a safe decision on the issue of specific seats of the Sunni Ittehad Council.
The Election Commission, while approving the requests of other parties regarding the specific seats, said in its decision that the specific seats will be distributed among other parties in proportion to their seats, the specific seats of the assemblies cannot be kept vacant.
As a result of the Election Commission’s decision, the Sunni Ittehad Council lost a total of 75 seats in the National and Provincial Assemblies. The Sunni Unity Council was to get 23 seats in the National Assembly, 24 in the Punjab Assembly, 25 in the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Assembly and 3 reserved seats in the Sindh Assembly.
