The leader of Muslim League-N and the newly elected Chief Minister of Punjab Maryam Nawaz called for a comprehensive plan for the construction of one lakh houses in the province in connection with the implementation of the promises made during the election campaign.
Maryam Nawaz presided over a special meeting in connection with the ‘Apni Chhat Apna Ghar’ project in Punjab, in which she asked for a strategy for the implementation of this project, under which low-income people in every district of the province More than 3 thousand houses will be built.
Chief Minister Punjab Maryam Nawaz Sharif has instructed to prepare model houses in 6 weeks, keep their down payment and monthly installments to a minimum and said that houses will be given to homeless people with low income in the province. It is our promise to provide a roof for the poor, we will definitely fulfill the promise.
He directed that construction quality and sustainability should be taken into account in the construction of prefabricated houses. Houses for low-income people should be close to cities so that they can have ease of transportation.
Former Senator Pervez Rasheed, Member of Assembly Uzma Bukhari, Chief Secretary, SMBR, Chairman P&D, Secretary Housing, Secretary Finance, Commissioner Lahore and other officials were also present on this occasion.
