Karachi: A 50-year-old guard of a private security agency was killed when robbers opened fire on resistance during a robbery at a travel agency in Clifton, while in other incidents, a tortured body of a woman was recovered.
According to the police, 50-year-old Zahoor was shot dead by unknown suspects near Bukhari Travel in Guji Panchab Chowrangi area of Clifton.
SSP Sajid Amir Saduzai said that when the two accused on a motorcycle came near the travel agency, the guard stopped seeing them and the accused opened fire and fled.
He said that one of the accused’s bullets hit the chest of the deceased guard Zahoor and he died on the spot.
Head Muharr said that the deceased belonged to Punjab and was a guard of Metro Security Company who was posted at Bukhari Travel Agency for the last 7 years and the police is investigating the incident further.
In an incident in Clifton, a dead body of a woman was recovered from a house in Shah Rasool Colony near Boat Basin, which the police shifted to Jinnah Hospital with the help of rescue personnel.
SHO Naseer Tanoli said that the house where the body of the woman was found had been sold and when the person who bought the house came there, the house was stinking. The owner of the house called the police.
Naseer Tanuli said that when the police reached the spot, the body of the woman was wrapped in a blanket.
The SHO said that the victim could not be identified immediately, but her age is between 50 and 55 years.
He said that the neighbors told that an elderly woman lived in this house with her husband, she also has a daughter and a young son who have left there and it is suspected that the deceased was the mother of the children, but the police are investigating further. is doing
On the other hand, near Bara Dari area of Sir Syed in North Karachi, motorcycle-riding suspects opened fire on resistance during the robbery and injured 34-year-old Khalid son of Khadim Hussain.
The injured was shifted to Abbasi Shaheed Hospital for medical assistance.
Apart from this, 22-year-old Shahid Rafiq was injured by firing by unknown suspects near Gulshan Mimar Mor area of Site Super Highway Industrial Area, who was shifted to Abbasi Shaheed Hospital.
SHO Mumtaz Marwat said that a few people were quarreling on the road, during which there was firing, which injured Shahid Rafiq.
He said that when the police reached the spot, the accused who opened fire had fled.
