Parvez Elahi named in three cases of terrorism

Rawalpindi: Former Punjab Chief Minister Chaudhry Pervaiz Elahi was named in three cases registered under the Terrorism Act in three police stations of Taxila circle.

According to the details, Tehreek-e-Insaf President and former Punjab Chief Minister Chaudhry Parvez Elahi is imprisoned in Adiala Jail in anti-corruption and other cases, whose difficulties are increasing.

In a letter from the Rawalpindi Police, the authorities have been informed that Chaudhry Parvez Elahi has been booked in three police stations of Taxila Circle, Rawalpindi under the Terrorism Act and other provisions of Case No. 940 of 9 May 2023, as well as under the Terrorism Act and other provisions. He is named in Case No. 948 registered on 11 May 2023 at Police Station Taxila and Case No. 744 registered on 10 May 2023 under Terrorism Act and other provisions at Police Station Sadar Wah and wanted by the police.

In a similar separate report, former Provincial Minister of Law and Local Government Bisharat Raja has been mentioned that Bisharat, who is a named accused in the case registered under terrorism and other provisions in Arey Bazar Rawalpindi Police Station, is a terrorist in Cantt Police Station. And in the case number 836/23 registered under other provisions, the accused are also named and wanted by the police, whose arrest warrants have been obtained and raids are being conducted for their arrest.

Interestingly, the former Punjab Chief Minister Chaudhry Pervez Elahi has been enduring the hardships of imprisonment in jail for months, but the former Law Minister Basharat Raja, who was quoted as saying that he was released after the high-profile case of Aray Bazar. He is also a wanted accused in the high profile case of Thana Cantt.
