Karachi: Due to the effects of the western wind series entering Balochistan, there is a possibility of rain with thundershowers in Karachi on Friday, due to the rain, the temperature may drop and the weather may be a bit cold.
According to the current forecast of the Early Warning Center of the Meteorological Department, it is expected to rain with thunder in different areas of Karachi from March 1, while from March 1, various districts of rural Sindh, Jamshoro, Thatt, Tharparkar, Badin, Umarkot, Mirpurkhas, Hyderabad, There is a possibility of rain with thunder in Tandwala Yar, Tando Muhammad Khan, Nowshahroferoz, Shaheed Benazirabad.
According to the Early Warning Center, a series of westerly winds will continue to intensify over Balochistan due to which there is a possibility of rain in Qamber Shahdadkot, Jacobabad, Larkana, Shikarpur, Kashmore, Ghotki and Sukkur between February 29 and March 2.
According to Chief Meteorologist Karachi Sardar Sarfraz, heavy rains are also expected in some places of the city during the rain with thunder in Karachi from March 1.
According to Sardar Sarfaraz, the rain will be under the new series of western winds over Balochistan, the intensity of which will increase due to the moisture found in the Gulf of Oman and the Arabian Sea. It is expected that due to the rain, the temperature will drop and the cold will increase.
According to non-governmental weather station PakWeather.com, under the mentioned westerly system, heavy spells of rain may occur in Karachi, during which hailstorm may also occur in some parts of the city.
The Meteorological Department has predicted that there will be more sunshine in Karachi on Wednesday and Thursday. On Tuesday, Shahr Qaid was under the influence of strong winds from Balochistan and strong winds are still blowing, the winds blowing from the north-east direction. The speed was recorded at 45 kmph while dusty winds blew in the suburbs of the city.
The minimum temperature in Karachi today was 17 degrees, while the maximum temperature was recorded at 27.3 degrees Celsius, a decrease of 2.8 degrees compared to the previous day.
