V Lager Asad handed over to FIA on 5-day physical remand

Islamabad: Judicial Magistrate Muhammad Shabbir’s court handed over V Lager Asad to FIA on 5-day physical remand.

The Federal Investigation Agency (FIA) presented V-Lager Asad in the Islamabad court, and sought physical remand, on which the court in the case of contempt of the judges of the High Court in the District and Sessions Court Islamabad. The decision was reserved on FIA’s request for physical remand.

Later, the court approved the 5-day physical remand of Asad. The court allowed Asad to meet a lawyer for one hour.

During the hearing, V Logger Asadtur said that I am a journalist and cannot give my mobile phone. I appeared before FIA ​​twice. Lawyer Safi said that he received the notice by hand on February 24. We went to the High Court against the call-up notice. On February 26, we reached the FIA ​​office at 4:30 with the High Court order. We asked about the FIR and the allegations.

Meanwhile in the Islamabad High Court, Asad Toor’s mother while talking to the media said that I do not know for what crime he has been arrested. I am filing my petition. On the journalist’s question, he said that the previous day he told me that the notice has come, I am going, the next day another notice came. We did not know that he had been arrested. I still don’t understand for what crime he was arrested.

On the other hand, the FIR of the FIA ​​case against Asad has come out, in which Asad has been accused of running a campaign to create a negative and false narrative against government officials. In the FIR, Asad is accused of inciting people to violence against state institutions and officials.

According to the FIR, Asad Toor ran a malicious campaign through Twitter and YouTube. Assad has fueled anti-state activities through social media. A case has been registered against Asad under PICA Ordinance 2016.

It should be noted that the JIT was formed for running a negative campaign against the government officials, after which the FIA ​​issued a summons notice to Asad. Earlier, the first JIT formed for campaigning against the Chief Justice of Pakistan had also issued a notice to Asad.
