Karachi: In the eighth match of Pakistan Super League Season 8, Karachi Kings easily defeated Lahore Qalandars by 67 runs.
The match between Karachi Kings and Lahore Qalandars was played at National Stadium in Karachi, the toss was in favor of Qalandars and captain Shaheen Shah Afridi invited Imad XI to bat first.

Karachi Kings won the toss and opened the batting, the team got a great opening and Matthew Wade, James Vince added 70 runs in the first wicket partnership, after which Matthew Wade was caught by the keeper on Kamran Haider’s throw while he was about to take a run. He was run out by scoring 36 runs. The second out was Haider Ali who was shown the way to the pavilion by Dawson on 19 runs.

After that, Shoaib Malik was dismissed for a total score of 120, then after adding four runs, James Vince returned to the pavilion by scoring 46 runs. Later, Ben Cutting combined with captain Imad Wasim to take the score to 176, then Shaheen Afridi made Ben Cutting his victim.

Karachi Kings scored 185 runs for the loss of five wickets in the scheduled twenty overs, James 46 while captain Imad Wasim was the outstanding batsman with 35 runs not out, Shaheen Afridi, Haris Rauf, Zaman Khan and Liam Dawson of Lahore Qalandars scored one each. Got the wicket.

In pursuit of the target, Lahore Qalandars started batting, then Fakhar Zaman got out with a total score of 40. After adding five runs, Hope returned to the pavilion. Mirza Baig returned to the pavilion with a total score of 86 after playing an innings of 45 runs.

After adding one run, Kamran Ghulam was also dismissed while Hussain Talat also returned to the pavilion on a total score of 91, then David Wells, Sikandar Raza, Shaheen Afridi, Liam Dawson and Zaman Khan were also dismissed.
Chasing Karachi Kings’ target of 186 runs, Lahore Qalandars were bowled out for 118 runs in 17.3 overs. Mirza Baig was the prominent batsman of Kings by scoring 45 runs while 7 players could not even enter double figures. Akif Javed of Karachi Kings got four, Aamir Yamin and Ben Cutting two each while Imad Wasim and Mohammad Amir got one out each.
Karachi Kings made two changes in the playing XI, replacing Sharjeel Khan and Andrew Tye with Ben Cutting and Akif Javed in the squad, and Akif Javed’s performance proved to be good for Imad’s XI.
