TOKYO: Japanese citizens who will soon get their food ordered by an autonomous robot on the streets of Tokyo. New facilities were introduced with the help of modern technology.
In this regard, the foreign news agency According to the report ‘Uber Eats’ Introduces New Robot Delivery Service In Japan, Uber will officially launch an autonomous sidewalk robot service with its partners.
According to the report, robots will now deliver food through UberEats in Japan, making Japan the first international market to make robot delivery available on the UberEats platform.
Uber Eats has announced a partnership with Mitsubishi Electric and robotics company Cartcon to deliver online food in Japan.
The said robots will start delivering food orders in some parts of Tokyo by next month (i.e. March).
Cartcon’s Model C robot, which was founded in 2019 by former Google employees in Oakland, California, will be used for delivery service in Japan, the report added.
