Handi reference and records related to foreign currency were also recovered from the accused
FIA Commercial Banking Circle Peshawar arrested 2 suspects of an organized gang involved in the reference handi and recovered 9 gold bricks.
According to the FIA spokesperson, the total value of the exported gold is more than 2 crores which was planned to be sent abroad. Among the arrested accused are Shahid and Habibullah, from whom currency worth millions was also recovered.
The accused were arrested from Sarafa Bazar Peshawar, from which a total of 65 lakh 20 thousand Pakistani rupees were recovered.
The accused could not satisfy the authorities regarding the recovered currency. Hindi reference and records related to foreign currency were also recovered from them.
According to the FIA spokesperson, a case has been registered against the accused and raids are being conducted to arrest other accused.
