During Basant in Rawalpindi, the number of people injured by aerial firing and killer strings will be 14 while the police arrested 227 kite flyers.
According to the hospital administration, 13-year-old Fatima, 10-year-old Mujahid were injured by blind bullets, while children named Abdullah and Muhammad Amjad were also injured by blind bullets.
Apart from this, 7-year-old Abdullah was injured by the chemical cord or killer cord on his neck and hand, while 10-year-old Mustafa was injured by cutting his hand. Moreover, 14-year-old Shaheer and 13-year-old Abdul Rafi, 22-year-old Rajab, 12-year-old Safyan, 10-year-old Muhammad Ismail and 7-year-old Hadi were injured on Rawal Road.
According to the hospital administration, 45-year-old Noorzada and 48-year-old Mohammad Imtiaz were injured due to the chemicals on their legs, face and hands. Due to the rush of the injured in the Benazir Hospital emergency, the entry of common people has been closed.
Apart from this, 8 pistols and guns and 14230 kites were recovered from the accused who fired in the air during Basant. Police arrested 227 kite flyers in 188 places during Basant.
Police also seized heavy sound systems from 2 different locations in the operation.
