Residents of the area including school children are deeply disturbed by the closure of the road
Rawalpindi: Former Nazim Union Council Manianda Muhammad Taj allegedly resorted to high tactics for giving the vote to the opposition party in Kalrasidaan.
The former moderator learned on February 10 that the residents of the area had voted for the opposition party.
In retaliation, the only road to 7 villages was demolished with the help of a crane, resulting in over 1300 people being trapped in the rural villages.
The residents of the area also applied to the police against Mohammad Taj, but the police did not take any action against the influential person. Since 12 days, the residents of the area, including school children, have been worried about the closure of the road. Patients in the area are being taken to the hospital from hilly areas and forests.
On the other hand, SHO Sajjad Al Hasan said that the Kallar Syeddan police received a complaint about the incident, but former Nazim Muhammad Taj claims that the road was built on his ancestral land. The police sought the land report from the concerned assistant commissioner. The SHO said that if the affected route becomes a public highway, it will be opened after the report.
