Lahore: The head of the Bhatigate police station was arrested on charges of blackmailing and demanding bribes from his own colleagues and officers.
According to Express News, the in-charge investigation station, Bhatigate, registered a case against its own informant, the case was registered under the charges of bribery and blackmail, after which the informant was arrested and remanded in custody.
According to the FR filed by In-charge Investigation, Bhatigate Police Station Moin Ilyas, Muharr Head Constable Adnan Sohail Saif was demanding money from various officials for the purchase of a wardrobe.
According to the FIR, the accused had started blackmailing the investigating officers by making a video of the incident in connection with the investigation of various cases.
After a case was registered by SI Moin Ilyas, Muharr was arrested and remanded in custody and his mobile phone was seized by the police.
