New political alliance in Sindh; Declaration of Joint Struggle by GDA, PTI, JI

Karachi: After the negotiations between People’s Party and PML-N in government formation after the general elections, now a new political alliance is being born in Sindh under which GDA, Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf and Jamaat-e-Islami announced a joint struggle.

Grand Democratic Alliance (GDA) Sindh Chief Coordinator Syed Sadruddin Shah Rashidi met PTI Sindh President Haleem Adil Shaikh, Jamaat-e-Islami Karachi Ameer Hafiz Naeemur Rahman along with a delegation at his residence.

In the meeting, the current political situation and the alleged rigging in the general elections were discussed regarding mutual cooperation. After the meeting, GDA Information Secretary Sardar Abdul Rahim said in his statement that in today’s meeting, GDA, PTI and Jamaat-e-Islami have announced to fight together.

In the meeting, Chief Coordinator of GDA Syed Sadruddin Shah Rashidi invited the leaders to attend the meeting of GDA on February 23. In the meeting, it was considered that the government and the Election Commission are in a state of confusion due to the opposition’s hard-line movement, and there is a possibility that the Sindh Assembly session for swearing-in will be announced suddenly.

In the meeting, the leaders agreed that in this case, the people and workers of all parties will protest strongly across Sindh on that day. In the meeting, the final announcement will be made after consideration in this regard in the meeting on February 23.
