Karachi: After Matriculation, Interboard and MD CAT, now papers of important exams like Commission have started to come out.
The merit test of Sindh Public Service Commission was postponed across Sindh, including Karachi, due to the release of papers, on which the students protested while the teachers demanded to provide security in case of any apprehension.
According to the Sindh Public Service Commission, the papers on February 27 and 28 will be held as usual, while the postponed papers will be held in April.
According to the details, a merit test was held for the post of BPS 16 secondary school teacher of the Sindh Public Service Commission in NED University in Karachi.
After the administrative staff decided to postpone the exam, they started withdrawing the papers from the candidates in the exam hall, the candidates got angry and tore the papers and threw the chairs while a protest was also held on University Road.
It was alleged by the candidates that the paper was out before the time of the test, when the examination started, it was the same paper that was already out, all this is destroying the merit system, education in Sindh. The system is deteriorating which is worrisome.
During the protest, there was a scuffle between the administration and the candidates, while the staff of the Sindh Public Service Commission managed to leave the scene.
The teachers of the college said that as per the instructions of the Sindh Public Service Commission, the merit test was held in the university grounds, we took back the papers after which the candidates started attacking. Central President Sindh Professors and Lecturers Association Manoor Abbas while talking to Express said that my duty was imposed, mismanagement reached the peak after taking the papers, women teachers of the college were mistreated and no protection was provided for the teachers if If this kind of mismanagement continues, we will not take the upcoming tests of Sindh Public Service Commission.
He said that if security is not provided for the test to be held by February 28, we will announce disaffiliation from the SPSC test.
The Sindh Public Service Commission has issued a statement on the issue and confirmed the postponement of the exam, saying that the February 27 and 28 exams will be held as per the schedule.
Sindh Public Service Commission Examinations Coordinator Abdul Hafeez said while talking to Express, the papers of Sindh Public Service Commission secondary school teachers have been canceled till February 26, while the papers of Assistant and Headmasters on February 27 and 28 will be as usual.
He said that the test paper was reported to be leaked, on which the Chairman Sindh Public Service Commission has ordered an inquiry into the matter. To maintain transparency in the exam, the papers have been postponed till February 26. The ongoing protest by the candidates over the postponement of the Main Hane test has now ended.
In this regard, the candidate who took the test for the 16th grade vacancy, while talking to Express, said that if the paper had been released, he should have been informed earlier. It has not been announced yet, you will have to come for the test again, the merit is getting worse.
Spokesperson of Sindh Public Service Commission Karachi while talking to Express said that this merit test was conducted all over Sindh, Karachi, Hyderabad, Sukkur and Larkana also canceled the papers. The spokesman said that the postponed test papers will be held in April. The ongoing protest by the candidates over the postponement of the test has now ended.
