Peshawar: Due to snowfall and rain in the upper areas of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and various districts, the death toll reached 6, including three children including two young brothers.
According to the report issued by PDMA, 6 people including 3 children died in various accidents due to continuous snowfall and rain in various upper areas of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa for the last three days.
According to PDMA, one man, woman and two children were killed and 14 injured, including five men, eight women and one child, due to the collapse of roofs and walls in different districts during the rain.
According to the report, 2 houses were completely damaged and 16 were partially damaged due to rains, a child, a man and four women were injured in Karam district, while a man and a woman were injured in Malakand division, 1 man and 1 woman in Mardan, 1 man and 1 woman in Swat. 1 child died while 1 man was injured in Upper Dir.
Apart from this, two young brothers who were identified as five-year-old Mashal and six-year-old Daniyal died after drowning in a pond in Katling Pipal area of Mardan district.
According to local residents, water had accumulated in the river due to continuous rain, in which the two children drowned. The local people immediately rescued the bodies of the children from the pond.
