Smoking and drinking: Both smoking and heavy alcohol consumption have been linked to an increased risk of stomach cancer in several studies.

Family history: Another risk factor for stomach cancer is family history.

Age and Gender: Stomach cancer is more common in older adults and is more common in men than women.

Certain medical conditions: Chronic gastritis, vitamin B12-induced anemia, and certain types of inflammation in the stomach can also increase the risk of stomach cancer.
