Rawalpindi: In an alleged police encounter in the area of Sadiqabad police station, the accused in custody and his accomplice who attacked the police were killed.
According to the police sources, in order to free the dangerous bandit from police custody, the associates of the accused opened fire on the police team, as a result of which the accused Syed Ghani and one of the bandits were injured. Both were reported to have died.
The police say that Syed Ghani, a dangerous suspect of robbery and murder, was being taken to recover the stolen property when his accomplices attacked him. According to the police, the unknown assailant accomplice of the arrested accused is being identified
Meanwhile, on the information of the incident, senior police officers reached the spot and cordon and search is on to nab the fleeing robbers.
CPO Khalid Hamdani says that the accused who attack the lives and property of the citizens and the police cannot escape from the grip of the law.
