Islamabad: Caretaker Prime Minister Anwarul Haq Kakar has issued instructions to solve the problems faced by K Electric on priority basis.
A review meeting regarding various issues of Karachi Electric (KE) was chaired by Caretaker Prime Minister Anwarul Haq Kakar, in which Federal Minister for Energy Muhammad Ali, relevant senior officials and Chief Executive Officer of K Electric participated.
The delegation of Karachi Electric thanked the Caretaker Prime Minister and his team for solving the long-standing problems faced by the company. On this occasion, the Caretaker Prime Minister issued instructions to solve the remaining problems faced by Karachi Electric on priority basis.
The Prime Minister said that the caretaker government has solved major long-standing problems in its short term to move the country towards economic stability. Meanwhile, providing all facilities to international investors and business community for foreign investment in the country has been the top priority of the government. The government has achieved positive results by following this basic principle.
He said that the caretaker government will continue its efforts to solve the problems faced by the country’s economy till the last day. The Prime Minister welcomed the signing of the interconnection agreement between National Transmission and Dispatch Company (NTDC) and Karachi Electric (KE) yesterday.
In the meeting, the CEO of Karachi Electric paid tribute to the caretaker Prime Minister and government officials for solving the problems faced by the company on priority basis by the government. The Prime Minister said that by solving the remaining problems soon, the government is trying to remove all obstacles in the way of uninterrupted supply of electricity to the residents of Karachi.
In the meeting, the problems of Karachi Electric and their solutions were presented. The Prime Minister directed that Nepra and Karachi Electric should jointly find a solution to these problems on a priority basis and submit a report in this regard as soon as possible.
