Peshawar: The High Court granted Umar Ayub bail for one month and issued an order not to arrest him.
A hearing was held on the petitions filed by Umar Ayub in the Peshawar High Court for protective and transit bail, in which the lawyer stated that 24 cases were registered against the petitioner. 4 cases are registered in Lahore, 2 in Islamabad, 13 in Rawalpindi, 3 in Attock and one case in Gujranwala.
The lawyer said that our request is to give more time. The petitioner is also a Prime Ministerial candidate. Chief Justice Peshawar High Court Mohammad Ibrahim Khan inquired that how much time should AAG sir give? You tell me, on which AAG Daniyal Chamkani said that the court should give whatever time it deems appropriate.
The Chief Justice of Peshawar High Court remarked that there are 24 cases against him, even if he appears in one court every day, it will take 24 days, on which the AAG said to give one month’s time. The Chief Justice said that we have to follow the law.
On behalf of the lawyer, the court was requested that if there is a charge in some supplementary case, then the court should order that no arrest should be made in that too, to which the Chief Justice remarked that the High Court has given bail, and now no one will be arrested. .
Later, Peshawar High Court granted transitory bail to Umar Ayub for one month. The court ordered to appear in the respective courts within a month.
